Microwave technology is extensively used for point-to-point telecommunications (i.e. non broadcast uses). Microwaves are especially suitable for this use since they are more easily focused into narrow beams than radio waves; their comparatively higher frequencies allow broad bandwidth and high data flow and also allows for smaller antenna sizes since the antenna size is inversely proportional to transmitted frequency (the higher the frequency, the smaller the antenna size). Microwaves are the principal means for which data, TV, and telephone transmit between ground stations and to and from satellites communications.
In keeping up with the latest technologies and rapid growth in the wireless broadband space, Timberline Construction has established microwave solutions for high capacity point-to-point links and has created a portfolio of services and hardware partnerships to provide our customers with the top industry solutions.
Timberline’s microwave division consists of talented professionals (managers, field engineers and RF technicians) who have an extensive background in the telecommunications industry and vast knowledge of microwave technology. The microwave team is able to provide a complete end-to-end service offering to meet all clientele needs from the initial network design to the network monitoring of existing network infrastructure.
