Timberline Construction’s teams have managed construction projects on campus for New England colleges, universities and independent schools. We understand the need to be flexible and adjust our schedule and/or approach considering the unique campus culture of each individual institution. Beyond the typical New England weather-driven challenges, seasonal fluctuations in occupancy combined with varying individual schedules, movements and needs through and around each campus area influence the creation of our fast-track schedules with built-in flexibility. Our teams make it a priority to maintain clear communications with faculty, staff, students and the campus community.
Campus life and the multitude of activities occuring around the project offer unique challenges that demand a heightened sensitivity from our team. The occupied spaces of campus life include both exterior and interior pedestrian traffic flows, which require the use of carefully developed site logistics. Having solid Health and Safety programs in place is a must. We ensure that our presence is as unobtrusive as possible throughout the construction process; this includes strict environmental controls to minimize noise and dust.
